our mission:
We want to share Joy by creating unique, fun, and tasty hard ciders with fresh ingredients sourced in the Northwest.
Our Story
In the summer of 2014, Grant Barnes received a cider-making kit instead of the beer-making kit he had requested for Father's Day. Little did he know that this unexpected twist would ignite a journey toward crafting some of the boldest and most flavorful ciders.
Grant's initial attempt at cider-making resulted in a less-than-stellar batch. Rather than giving up, his curiosity led him to delve into the intricacies of the process, transforming mishaps into opportunities for learning and growth.
Thus, One Tree Hard Cider was born, starting in a humble garage. Fueled by newfound knowledge and unwavering passion, Grant aimed to create ciders that would not only satisfy but leave an indelible mark.
Early days were challenging, with Grant and his team knocking on doors, introducing their handcrafted ciders to restaurants and pubs. Despite facing rejection and setbacks, their determination remained steadfast.
A pivotal moment arrived with Spokane-based wholesale distributor, Click Distributing. Recognizing the uniqueness of One Tree's offerings, Click Distributing propelled their growth.
Over time, One Tree Cider grew, evolving from an accidental venture into a beloved brand. Their secret? A commitment to quality and using real fruit to craft distinct ciders. Each batch transformed simple ingredients into flavorful creations that captivated the senses.
Today, as we reflect on our journey, we take pride in the path that began with a cider-making kit mix-up. Grant Barnes' accidental entry into cider-making led to a venture fueled by passion, perseverance, and a love for exceptional beverages.
One Tree Hard Cider's expansion extends beyond its flagship brand, encompassing a Cider House showcasing a full range of One Tree's Ciders on tap.
